The Mews Pilates opened its doors in Delgany, Co. Wicklow, in Autumn 2020 at the height of the pandemic. Maeve, the owner of the studio, is originally from Greystones, and was first introduced to Pilates around 2008. It has been and continues to be the most inspiring, challenging and always motivating journey. We look forward to welcoming you to the studio to start you on your own personal Pilates journey.
Why Pilates?
Pilates is for everyone, it works for all ages, gender, body types, and all levels of fitness. It focuses on exercises that build core, back and pelvic strength, it improves flexibilty while using breathwork that can reduce stress.
Why BASI?
Experience of different methods in different countries led Maeve to a BASI studio in London. The BASI method really stood out, the contemporary feel without losing touch with Classic Pilates, equipment that fit the bodies of present day, and a focus on safety in all aspects of teaching.
Importance of Setting Goals
Goals do not have to be big, extravagant, unattainable points. Pilates has the ability to allow participants to set goals that are individual to them. This could be a simple goal of turning up each week, feeling better in your daily movement, working on that injury, or feeling the progress in a Pilates class you are taking.
